What we provide for our infants

Crib sheetsWe change and wash our crib sheets every day, so your infant will have clean crib sheets every day.
Formula

Most Sunrise Preschools locations provide Similac formula. Please see the requirements for other formulas and breast milk on the What to Pack list if you would like to use a different formula.

Baby food & cereal

For infants that have transitioned to eating solid food, Sunrise Preschools provides rice cereal, milk, and baby food.

Bowls and spoons

Our schools provide age-appropriate eating utensils for infants who have transitioned to eating baby food and cereal.

Daily activity reports

Using our parent engagement app, Sunrise Preschools will provide you with a Daily activity report, so you can be included in your infant’s day.

Bibs

Clean bibs are provided for our children daily.

What to pack for your infant:

DiapersOn your infant’s first day, Sunrise Preschools requests that you pack diapers in bulk. When it is time to replenish their supply, we will alert you several days in advance. We suggest packing 8-10 diapers per day.
Wipes

We request that parents and families pack a full container of wipes for their infant, as well as a refill package – we will follow up with you to replenish them when they run out.

Pacifiers

For infants and children that use pacifiers, Sunrise Preschools recommends keeping two at the school, each labeled with your child’s name or initials using a non-toxic marker.

Clothing

We recommend that parents provide us with two to three outfits, sealed and labeled in a bag. We will send home any soiled clothes to be replaced as necessary. Please keep in mind that your child will be spending time both inside and outside – the outfits should include socks and other weather-appropriate clothing items.

BottlesTo gauge the number of bottles needed, Sunrise Preschools recommends packing enough bottles for the time your child will be with us, plus one extra in the case of any emergencies. Each bottle must be labeled with the first and last name of your child. See below for formula and breast milk requirements.
Formula and breast milk

For parents who are breastfeeding or wish to use a formula other than Similac, we ask that you prepare and send each bottle for the day, as Sunrise Preschools is not able to make any formula that is not provided by the school. These bottles should be labeled with your child’s name, the bottle’s contents, and the date. Please place the filled bottles into a sealed bag. All bottles will be sent home with your child each day to wash and remake.

Diaper rash ointment and cream

If you wish to provide diaper rash ointment or cream, please fill out a medication form provided by Sunrise Preschools, label the cream container, and store it in a sealed bag.

More helpful tips and reminders

Label, label, label

Any items that will come into direct contact with your child should be labeled using a non-toxic marker. Permanent markers can be used to label plastic bags, wipe containers, and diaper boxes. You may choose to label bottles using a label maker, masking tape, or painter’s tape – we recommend labeling bottles before they’re stored in the fridge for ease of writing. Iron-on labels can be used for clothing and bibs.

Required Forms

If you haven’t submitted the following forms in advance, please be sure to do so before their first day: Feeding Form, USDA Application, Shot Record, and Medication Form (if applicable).

Care and education

Though our staff and educators are here to provide your infant with dedicated care, keep in mind that your little one is also working hard to develop their mind and skills for the future. To learn more about the milestones you can look forward to in their first year, click below.
